I believe there are no similarities between our life style and theirs. reason why I think this is because now in the twentieth century technology has been so evoloved and the west coast tribe uses there resources around them. They use trees to make canoes and nature that is provided where we use plastic and other materials for other products.

I think the most innovated material they used was the iglu. Reason why is because i am amazed at how creative they were tomake such a contraption. I was amazed on how limited their resources were and they were able to cut blocks of snow and make themselves a house. Also, how they found out how they were able still keep warm. This innovated invention sure amazed me!!

Question 2 ~ Corrina
I am amazed on how the Inuits could adapt to their harsh enviroment. For example, the Arctic is avery cold and harsh environment, but they still used that as an advantage. Because of the large amount of snow and ice they used it to built igloo as their shelter. It is also a warm shelter which is a good thing for people who lives in the Arctic. Also the Inuits puts the animals they hunted in good use. They use the animal's pelt as clothing which can provide warmth to the person wearing it. Also they use the animal's intestine for hunting tools. And the remainder are used as food. As a result, I am amazed on how well the Inuits can adapt to their harsh enviroment and use their so well limited resources .

what I thought of our wheather
The climate in the lower mainland is is different in other areas. Such as we get a lot of rain but have a great selection of vegetation. I don't think the wheather bothers me because i am so used to it!!!!

Answer for Q1 ~ Corrina
I've been living in North Delta, BC for my entire life. Because of its cold and wet weather, it has forced me into more indoor activities. The weather in the Lower Mainland has affected my lifestyle but it also made me appreciate the short summer days. During the summer, I would do all the things I enjoy doing but can't do during the cold weather. Things like biking, long walks, and lots of other outdoor activities. As a result, the harsh weather in the Lower Mainland limited a lot of things I like doing but it also made me appreciate the short summer more.

Question 1
Well, since we live in a place with a moderate climate, the weather and temperature effects what kind of clothes we buy. For example, most of us have snow gear for winter and rain jackets and things for autumn and spring. As compared to other places in the world that have different seasons. Like, a person who lives in a tropical country wouldn't own snow boots.

Answer to question 1
we do more winter sports, eat more fish because we live near mountains, and water.
Answer to Q1
I think that on the whole, we eat more fish than some other people due to the fact that we live near the water. We also eat a lot of berries, because of the abundant number of berry bushes (blackberry, salmon-berry, raspberry). We also go skiing, etc. due to the many mountains in our vicinity. Also, since it is quite cold, we play a lot of winter sports. Finally, because of the many forests and lakes around here, we are quite outdoorsy and like to do activities such as hiking, swimming and canoeing.
Answer to question, from Simran
I believe our culture is greatly affected by where we live. For example, here in BC we are very close to the pacific coast line in the northern hemisphere having temperate weather. So that effects our diet from vegetarian to meat specifically seafood which is widely available, so we can incorporate this into our diet more.
One way that we have to adapt to where we live is that there are many trees in B.C. So the houses are usually made of wood. While in other places around the world, houses are sometimes made of brick. Another reason for wooden homes is that it keeps us warm during the winter because we do not have a tropical climate.
